We’re so excited about PyCon US 2024 in Pittsburgh. It was the first time the four of the hosts were in the same room together to share news about our podcast series to the Python community.

March 8th marks International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women around the world and advocating for gender equality. In the Python Podcast community, as we have previously reported, women are underrepresented, and yet they continue to make meaningful contributions to the Python community.

Gender Diversity and Representation in Popular Python Community Podcasts

Throughout the years, the Python community as a whole has made significant effort in improving diversity. This can be seen in improvements in speaker diversity at Python conferences, and among PSF Board of Directors.
